Newcomers

We welcome everybody without exception. Come just as you are. We are not a perfect church filled with perfect people. You can expect a casual environment that is very accepting of people of all backgrounds.

The People

Our group isĀ very diverse. We are diverse in ethnicity, economic status, and culture, which pleases us very much. We think it is sad how segregated Sunday mornings can feel in America today. While we are grateful for cultural churches that cater to certain language needs so immigrants can find a place to plug in while they assimilate, we feel it is unfortunate that so many churches can often feel culturally exclusive.

Our church is so diverse that you would be hard pressed to find any one majority culture represented. We have so many different backgrounds in our group that we can honestly say our church effectively reaches “every tribe, nation, and tongue”

Dress Code

There is not one. You will see people in the congregation dressing very casually, and you will see staff members dressed more formally. Regardless of how you like to dress for church, you will find somebody in our group dressed the same way.

Music

We tend to play a mixture of modern contemporary music, and a blend of traditional hymns. Our group has a diverse range of backgrounds and preferences, so our services reflect the interests of each group. We do not have two services, as some do, with one for traditional and another for contemporary. We feel that would segregate the body of Christ, and discourage the type of unity that pleases the Lord so much. And with this blend, we have had much success.

Child Care

We offer a Children’s Church and a Nursery Service for youth ages 7 and under that takes place during our worship time in the Sanctuary. This is our way of helping parents feel free to worship without distraction while your kiddos get the Word of God presented to them on their level.

FAQ’s

Coffee and snacks

There is always a bit of coffee brewing in the pot, and some light snacks served after our morning Bible Study times.

Pre Service Bible Study

We host a wide range of Bible studies each morning before the gathering, all age appropriate. Each one is lead by a lay leader, and the lesson plan is directed by the Holy Spirit.

Snow Days

We will rarely close church or small groups as a result of snow or other weather. We will of course close if there is some very intense weather, but we would rather not close for the average snow storm.

We would hate it if the one day we closed was the same day that a person was going to join us who was deeply in need of some spiritual inspiration. Therefore, our leadership team is committed to being available unless it is absolutely impossible.

Closures will be announced to the congregation by email. If you are not on our email list, please use any of the contact information at the Contact Us page to ask.
