I have heard many church goers say something along the lines of “I can’t go to church because I have to work”.
I believe that Church is a fundamental part of Gods plan for our spiritual formation. Church is a major ingredient in how God wants to care for us, and how God plans to reach the lost around us.
So when I read this article, I really wanted to share it.
This article tells the story of a woman who told her employer that she refused to work on Sundays, and was fired as a result. She stuck to her value of being a part of her church family, regardless of her employers pressure, and regardless of the financial implications.
She took a leap of faith.
AND NOW SHE IS A MILLIONAIRE!
Moral of the story
God will not ask us to do something that is impossible. God will make all things possible if He has indeed called us to do it, and if He values it.
God values our church relationship. The secular world will attack that value. Your fear of unpaid bills may attack that value. Your desire for more sleep may attack that value.
God has decided to meet all our needs IN CHRIST JESUS, (Philippians 4:9), not in secular things that require us to make spiritual sacrifices.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
This woman was willing to sacrifice her job and her income so that she could invest in her spiritual life, and was rewarded with more money then most people will see in their life.
